One aim was to widen knowledge and experience of the site. This is less easy to measure. But at least a quarter of the participants had never visited the reserve before, almost all could recognise flowers previously unknown, and 100% went to parts they had not seen before.

Comments on individual species
Marsh-marigold - probably under-recorded
Milkworts Those to the north of Carriers Lane ( the road running roughly E/W through the reserve) were P. serpyllifolia. Those in other areas could not be positively IDed.
Gipsywort A single plant was seen in an area where it had been observed ten years ago.
Alexanders One or two plants recorded by the lay-by for about five years without evidence of spread.
